Greetings from Scotland & London.
Assuming that vacation edition part 1 worked to schedule, welcome to vacation edition part 2. I have set this edition 42 of the newsletter to auto-publish. While I decompress and unplug, I am again upcycling older content that many found appealing, some may wish to re-visit, and new members may want to discover.
Superpowers
Did you know that each of us has superpowers? Sometimes they are invisible to us, but very evident to those around us.
It could be fine art, organizing complex travel, being able to distinguish flavours, making sure a project is delivered on schedule or dreaming of the impossible. Each of us is gifted with adding our own talent into that bigger puzzle called humanity.
We are part of a community.
Did you ever get to see that iconic VW ad with the little kid who tried to be Darth Vada?
What’s your Superpower invites us to introspect. What are your strengths? Where do you consider your superpower?
And then …
a special parenting-superpower edition for all the young parents out there …
This two-part series was inspired by a bumper-sticker:
I’m a foster parent. What is your superpower?
The Force and Parenting Superpower are previously published podcast episodes and blog posts.
Country celebrations: Canada Day and Fourth of July
It is a North American weekend of celebration.
July 1 is Canada Day and July 4 is the United States Independence Day.
To everything, there is ying and yang. These new age countries - babies in the context of the Asian and European and Turtle Nation cultures - attracted those struggling in a medieval economy where landlords and kings exploited those without rights, the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.
What I learned through my travels is that no culture can stay dominant, there is a lifecycle to every empire, and people are always seeking new.
Some move to escape: Wars. Climate. Famine. Pandemics. Economics.
Others move to explore: New opportunities. Undiscovered horizons, lands and (now) planets.
I expect that future generations will continue this trend.
What we have learned this year is that we should leave as light a footprint in the new space. We should integrate rather than replace. Whether it is nature or an existing culture, we should not wipe out what was already there.
Back to regular programming next week. Till then, dear Tilters, stay healthy and happy.

Love it! I think this also makes a very good interview question! Hope you are having a restful vacation Karena!
