I miss the variety of bananas in Southeast Asian countries. Here in NZ you basically only get two types. Generally I miss Southeast Asian fruits living here… including Durian (you're either a lover or hater of Durian, there's no in-between).
I don't think I have had Durian. I love jackfruit (the hard one). This was an interesting newsletter to write as I learned so many new things about a fruit I eat so often. You must have some great recipes, Laila?! Do share.
This is my favourite banana bread recipe, but I use 1 c. white flour and 1 c. whole wheat flour. I get it out of an actual cookbook...but it is the same as the one on this site (though sorry the site has so many ads!): https://leitesculinaria.com/409/recipes-banana-bread.html
