Congratulations on 100, Karena! You expand my thinking with every issue. I am grateful that I get regular peeks into what's top of mind for you. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Thanks for your constant support, Ali. Photo selection credit goes to my son. I worried that it did not look polished and that I had no makeup. "But I like this one. It is 'just you' Mum."
Christin - you are one of my biggest and earliest champions. I would not be here without your support. I recall being very nervous when I posted my BTS funnel. I held my breath. And within minutes you were screaming through my keyboard that I should be posting it all over my social. Such validation. You are truly a signal for kindness and community.
Congratulations!!! 🎊🎉🎈 not only for hitting this marker, but for sharing what you learned along the way! Your session on consistency and managing your energy is one that I still think about today. Here’s to the next 100 🎉
I am so glad that I read this essay from you after a short break from Substack.
When I read about not forgetting people who helped you build this newsletter, You immediately came to my mind as I thought about who helped me get where I am today. :)
And just wanted to Thank you.
You’ve always been an inspiration.
I love this issue, especially linking to past issues and the related thoughts and memories with them. ❤️
Aimen - thank you for this special message. It is easy to give support to others, when you were shown the way by special people like Christin Chong, Alexandra Allen and other giants!
100! Or ONE HUNDRED! (Feels like it is worth writing out for the weight of all those letters!) Congratulations, my friend. I am so proud of you. This is a huge accomplishment and I am not at all surprised that you had the commitment and love to pull it off! Big hugs to you. xoxo
Incredible! Congrats on the century Karena. And what a way to do it. Love the stats and highlights. Ditto what Latham said - thanks for always making us more hopeful.
John - you've been with me from the start. Thank you. I particularly appreciate you recognizing the messaging for "hope". When we are surrounded by floods and wildfires like Hawaii, it feels like we are too late to this game. But now is when it is most important to drown down the scary headlines with the hope-filled ones. For the sake of the children.
Your gorgeous photographs as you run and cycle through various parts of the world are also part of this messaging. "Places that are precious to us."
Great stuff Karena. Congratulations.!!! Keep going... It is needed. Too many (sadly even most I'd say) "folk our age" are either "Complete put-downers", "too judgemental" or just "downright discouraging" of the younger set. The Next Gen or Gen-Z - whatever one may choose to call them.
They're young and smart... As we once were. And with a bit of caring guidance and sharing of our experiences - they can (and will - I've seen this myself) go to great lengths. Not just in personal growth and successes but in being overall better citizens of wherever they currently live and better denizens of our beautiful unique blue planet.
Loved the issues on mental health. That was solely needed. Too many folks our age keep saying "why can't the younger gen just get their sh*t together"? Thanx for the lovely explanations (from you and the others on the panel) - on exactly why. I shared that with a lotta peers that had expressed that strange opinion.
All the best with your writing... Always. I'll be here to cheer you on at #200 and beyond.
P.S. Do some issues now-n-then for the younger gen (young adults 20-30 etc) too. So we can also direct them to some positive reads and they can also see that there are indeed older folk that can be kind caring and supportive and all they do isn't really all wrong...
Ricky - thank you for all your support and encouragement. I do with words what you do regularly with action in your business. That mental health series caught me by surprise too (thanks for sharing it with others). There is so much to say there, I found myself drowning in phrases and stats and suggestions. So I kept it simple.
And here is to 200, together. Thank you for being part of Tribe Tilt!
Thanks Alissa. We share a common topic - parenting. Something you write about so evocatively I want to return to a decade ago when mine were still young enough to need me.
Congratulations Karena on this wonderful accomplishment. I agree with this comment completely "I’m consistently impressed by the breadth of issues, information, and education that Karena packs into her newsletter." Well done!
Thank you, Rick. And thanks for becoming such a core part of Tribe Tilt.
The place was so peaceful. I was hard pressed to pick a perfect photo for this edition. In the end I went for one that showcased the range of activities - the dock, the lounging, the hammock, the tackle box!
And huge 🙌🏼 to @steven foster. Inspired by John Nicholas, Elizabeth, Nate, Steven and Cam, I have a new respect for imagery and try my best to take better photos to accompany my written work.
Congratulations on 100, Karena! You expand my thinking with every issue. I am grateful that I get regular peeks into what's top of mind for you. Thanks for sharing your insights.
I am surrounded by brilliant minds like yours Terri! That is what makes it easier.
You are such an inspiration - never without a new idea to change the world.
Happy 100th, Karena!!! So inspiring. I love the photos you added to this edition, your light shines through beautifully enhancing your words. 💛

And look at you now!!! I'm in awe by how much you have written and accomplished. :D
'All of us have written and accomplished" ... and continue to accomplish because we push and inspire each other!
Congrats! I'm looking forward to your next 100. No pressure, tho 🙃

Thank you, Michelle. I gained so much more time the day I discovered how to mesh my circadian rhythm with my todo list!
Big high five to you!!!
Simone. From the early days, testing different forms and layouts and lengths. I await your 100th edition!
You needn’t wait long :)
💯
Thank you Josh!
Karena, Congratulations 🥳

Thanks, Kathleen! You are doing too - out in the real world, in the oceans.
Looking back, this is what I wanted out of altMBA. Consistency. Each learning is a building block in our process.
Congratulations Karena. Fantastic PB 💙

"Just Write" may have started with you and a Crows discussion when Imposter Syndrome was looming large.
Your persistance and commitment in your newsletter in defense of the elephants inspired me.
Congratulations Karena. An epic issue. I could stare at that photo of your vacation spot all day long. Being there must have been amazing.
Thank you, Rick. And thanks for becoming such a core part of Tribe Tilt.

Congratulations Karena 🙌 🥂🎉 Thank you for sharing your generous heart and bright mind. You’re a wonder! 🎈💚 🌤️
I learn from gentle giants like you, Margaret.
