Karena, this is such a beautiful reminder of how powerful gratitude is. You’re living proof that when you appreciate the little things - like the songs of birds or the warmth of family - you create a life of abundance. Love that you’re sharing this energy with your tribe!

I love the way you notice the little details between the words and space between the paragraphs, KZ. It gives me pleasure to radiate this abundance and in a world where the edges seem so frayed, to bring a little light of plenty.

Love the reframe of “what would this look like if it was easy?” And my son and I are so honored to have played a part in opening your eyes to birds — even outside of the beauty of the Galapagos, we hope you find them awe-inspiring

Thank you for writing about birding in such an engaging way, Brooke - and thank him for inspiring you!

Yes, ever since your essay last year, I have improved my attention to our feathered friends. We have a family of robins who like to nest territorially in the lamp on my porch. So each year I contrive nest-building-interrupters (rolls of crinkly noisy foil) to fill the space so the nest cant get a foothold. And so show her disgust the mother dive bombs me for the rest of the summer as I relax on our patio!

"The wi-fi turned out to be soooo bad it was good! With poor wi-fi connectivity only available in the hotels, I was often forced to slow down, switch off and be more present during our family meals." I sometimes find myself longing for this, an enforced shut down of connectivity. But I am glad in fact that peak disconnect didn't find you because that photo of the Booby is amazing! Very glad you captured it (the photo I mean).

Thank you, Rick! He has a certain charm, aloofness and elegance about him, don't you think?! This was one of the first that I sighted - and I think he was being paid to pose by the Tourism dept!
