Thank you, Julie. As a runner you also understand that the milestones are markers of some sort and should be acknowledged! I am amazed at your daily posts.
That's very true! I'm getting better at looking back on my training each month to celebrate and acknowledge. I'm grateful for what my body can do...it can handle more than I realize.
Thank you, Kathy. I remember your comment when I did the poll at edition 30 when I was making a decisionon continuing: "If they are still reading, keep writing."
The way you wrote about that salad in your first edition inspired and encouraged me. You connected with your audience (and set the bar high for the rest of us!) And the honest way you talked about missing your mother, recently passed, stood out as a beacon for me on my recent journey, Simone.
The best part of this journey is the friends I have collected along the way!
You give me too much credit, Margaret! 157 posts in 1096 days actually. But that 1000-day paired so well with the future-related post of a 1000-day radar that I had posted back in November 2023. It is amazing how much can change. And yet how much can stay the same. Just a little each day or week goes so far to making change!
Thank you for your support and editing eye, Brooke. I am sure you can identify the points where your suggestions on my drafts make each finished product more complete for my reader. (I obviously need to feed ChatGPT more "from my reader's perspective" prompts!)
All good Karena thanx. Always read you articles and love em. You're inspiring. But most often end up a bit busy and caught up with the many balls I'm juggling to actually reply. Mean to every time and then you have the next. And yknow how life sometimes gets. But yes, all good and loving what you do .Stay well.
Laila!!! DMing all my excuses to you. (PS. I just gave up at 150 days on Duolingo ... they were getting too aggressive with the 'extra 15 mins, double points' in the middle of the most inconvenient conversations! I was doing Hindi (OK) and Korean (poorly!). What are you doing?
I'm doing Japanese, 10 more days to a 500 day streak! Started doing Japanese so that I can ask for basic things when we were in Japan in April. Japan will probably be a regular destination for us as we both love it so much.
Just over. But the 1,000 day concept really stood out when I read the AI blurb and recalled my post on what is feasible in 1,000 days. Coincidentally, that is also the time between starting high-school and getting ready to submit your essays for uni. Or a 3-yr degree. Mind blowing.
Karen’s, when you show up in my inbox, I smile and am grateful we are connected and am grateful for the contribution you are to my life! You can write about anything and my gratitude would remain. ☺️❤️
The same right back at you. In my 100th issue I did an homage to the other major 'side?' effect of writing: Tribe Tilt. It is a community that I had not expected to see coalesce around these core ideas. Yet here we are. Comrades. And it makes me feel so good to know - that in a world of vindictive people and scary headlines - there are so many people committed to doing good for others and to others. You being one of them, James. Here is to the future!
Way to go, Karena! Thank you for sharing your heart and soul here each week.

Incredible! the world is better with you writing!
Thank you for the insights, Emma. I would not have made it this far without your regular writing to encourage me along.
Wow Karena congratulations on your many accomplishments!

Congrats, Karena. I remember those early days well. ❤️

One step, one word, one week at a time, right Arman?!
You show such creative grace and generosity Karena. 1000 posts? Wow!! 🤩

You are a force and I am in awe of your courage, tenacity, creativity, and passion. Truly--you are incredible and I am proud to know you.
I am so glad you joined the party, Cindy. Though-truth be told-you helped launch the newsletter with your support and encouragement.
Congrats and keep up the good work.... ♥️
I've been meaning to reach out and see how you are doing, Ricky. All good?

Looking forward to catching up again next Feb.
For sure.... Great news. Do keep in touch till then too.
Congrats on 1000 days Karena! What an achievement. I'm not even on 1000 days on Duolingo, lol.

Woah! And you’ve aced your weekly assignments ;)

Congratulations, Karena! Love the consistency!
Thank you, Bill. It took a while to figure out the missing magic. Writing bite-sized essays was what I needed to do.
Congrats on this milestone! Have a well-deserved celebration and then keep going!
Thank you, Scott. You've been here from the deign and naming phase and I'm thrilled that we still journey together.
What a great map of content and way to help a new reader approach the large body of work
