I was asking a similar question today while writing this week's draft - is this what I most want to say right now?

And I have this funny feeling there is another piece I want to write about but maybe that's next week

(PS: Thanks for your DM, it was very sweet!! I read it while I was half awake before my connecting flight so want to respond properly)

You are already a man of action, @Ved. And that is what is important. Have you stopped long enough to think about the number of people you "put (back) in action" when you and @nat created the Publish Party? You rekindled that sense of action and community with so many people. You inspired them to get back on the horse and write again. Thank you.

And whatever you do, keep sharing and creating.

Your questions connected up to a question that a friend of mine posed in his blog this week. "What happens when we refuse to stay in the place assigned to us?" It seems to me that taking advantage of your line of inquiry demands we start to see the ways and places we are accepting what was assigned to us rather than consciously choosing what we're here to do, and the places we're meant to inhabit.

What a wonderful question, @rick. "What happens when we refuse to stay in the place assigned to us?"

I admit that I was fielding the loss of people very close to me when I originally wrote that piece - and the intent (particularly of the first question) was did the most important people in my life know, without question, of the depth and breadth of my love for them. Since then, I don't waste the opportunity to tell them, again and again and again.

It seems like it is never too early to take that first step, write v001 of what you want to say and send it.

Great line by O’Donohue. Never thought of a blessing that way. Thanks for sharing!

I know. That line broke me. And reminded me that we are all the spiritual solutions for each other -- by believing in the nowness, potential and inherent goodness in each other.

Thanks Karena, for including me in this week’s conversation. I heard Suleika Jaouad tell Stephen Colbert that, facing leukemia, she’s taken a gentler approach to her doctor's advice to “live every day as if it’s your last”—because if we did, "we’d all be cheating on our spouses, draining our bank accounts, and declaring bankruptcy". Instead, she tries to live each day as if it’s her very first. After a hearty laugh to her quiet hilarity, it hit me. Reading Suleika Jaouad has been good for tilting my future.

Thanks, Karena. What I would've given to surprise you at the Winter Garden! The next best thing? A catch-up online! I'll reach out, let's connect.

Are you in NYC this coming week? That would be AWESOME! Yes. Catchup on the cards. I am hoping - through some miracle - to finally meet Leo in person too!
