Thank you for engaging and commenting, Chao! You could not have paid me a bigger compliment with the phrase 'feels conversational', Chao. I wanted to create a mood of chatter and exploration and community!
I am an obliger. When I figured that out, it was a game changer! I surrounded myself with people who make me put my work first. Because my instinct is to defer to the needs of others.
How did you change things once you discovered your are a questioner?
Because your work is important and has purpose and people do care about it, as it meets their own interests.
The thing about being a Questioner is that both inner order and outer order - the difference between me and a Rebel - with the Rebel neither inner nor outer order really make sense.
Questioners are more into inner order/inner calm - so, yes, I did prioritise and take more seriously my inner world and the inputs and the outputs that it needed.
I also learnt about the "six-degree-why-because dynamic" - so that is at least six questions - they go into increasing degrees of depth.
And then you - and I - dig up again.
With inner order you are also careful about what you internalise.
For so long I did not like echoing voices in my head or anywhere else.
The beauty of Rubin's tendency quiz was realizing that not everyone thinks the way I do!!! And understanding their positioning when they touch my work. Eye opening.
I'm going to DM you. I'd love to learn more about the 'six-degrees-why'. I suspect I know it under a different name, but you know what they say about assumptions!
Thanks for tag and link. Love how your newsletter has so many interesting formats and feels conversational

Oh that whale is too delicious!
In Gretchen Rubin: my Tendency is the Questioner.

I don't know if you can direct-message me
probably through the chat function?
A lot of people know about "six-degrees-why" through Delphi.
Here is where I discovered the five or six degree why:

I will make a Note about it so other people can see it.
There were 2 examples: one was about deep-cleaning and the other was "A Parent's Lament" about meditation and phones and spending time.
