WHY? Because your __________ idea might be just what is needed. Fill in the blanks:

“I know this has legs, but I am only one person …”
“It’s my obsession and I’m fascinated by this topic. I’m sure no one else out there thinks about this like I do …”
The best idea can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time. Your idea is worthy. Now AI can crowdsource tangential ideas, And your idea could be the necessary puzzle piece that feeds a collective solution.
To be upfront, I’m here to encourage you to join the upcoming cohort of Write of Passage. Classes will run from October 2 - November 8, and the window to register closes on Monday, September 25. Whatever your chosen method of writing inspiration, I’m here to motivate you - particularly if you are a woman - to share your ideas with confidence.
We need more diversity in writing. If LLMs are here to stay, then I want MORE. More writers, cultures, perspectives, experiences, ideas. All feeding into the model that a twelve-year-old girl may be using to create her school essay in 2025.
That is my reason for encouraging you to bring your voice to the table.
Your thoughts, your musing, your idea, … it could be just the magic that the world needs! Dream big. Dream bold. You have permission.

How ideas inspire
I’m on a mission to encourage more people, particularly women, to share their thoughts - however tiny - online. Why?
I’d like you to write. WE need you to write. Your thoughts matter. Every idea has merit - whether it is historical, non-fiction, or science-fiction. Because your ideas can change lives, and change the future.
Your writing can plant ideas.
There is the moment when Leonard Nemoy pulled out his flip phone and opened it to answer … and then looked out at the stunned audience who started laughing, realizing how reality had followed their favorite fiction. (I’m waiting for Spore drives - which use the magic of mycelium spores to come into real existence.) Books, memos, TV scripts - medical, financial, legal, science fiction, Black Mirror - can all challenge us to think more creatively.
Whether it is Harry Potter (How did HP influence GenZ discussion with
‘s intersectional thinking group), Marcus Aurelius, or Brene Brown … we can each point to pivotal readings that influence us.
What technologies, process, politics and realities do you see that first started out as one person’s flight of fantasy?
